Steven Nelson
Managing Partner
Steven began his finance career at Goldman Sachs, where he worked in Global Investment Research, analyzing and making investment recommendations on publicly traded companies in the gaming, leisure, and lodging sector. He then joined MGG Investment Group, a $6 billion investment firm based in New York City, where he invested private credit and private equity in dozens of middle-market companies across the country. His extensive background in financial structuring, capital allocation, and business operations makes him uniquely equipped to support and grow private businesses.

​​​Before his career in finance, Steven served as an officer in the United States Air Force, leading missions in Air Force Space Command. He was was a part of six successful space lift launches, including missions for NASA, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), SpaceX, and the Missile Defense Agency. His military background instilled in him a disciplined, mission-driven approach to leadership and operations, which he applies to every business he acquires.

​​​Steven holds a B.S. in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he specialized in Finance and Investment Management. He also carries multiple professional investment licenses, including Series 7, Series 63, Series 86/87, Toigo Fellow, and more. Steven is originally from, Colorado Springs, CO.
